The Foundation for a Drug-Free World (Florida Chapter) joined the Greenwood Back to School event in Clearwater and the Hillsborough Back to School event in Tampa to help instill an awareness of the dangers of illicit drugs amongst our youth.

Those who stopped by the Foundation for a Drug-Free World booth experienced the high interest that their message evokes. In total, over 450 Drug-Free Marshals were signed up, and more than 600 Truth About Drugs booklets were distributed to parents and youth.
The Drug Free Marshals is a youth drug-education and prevention program that informs children about the dangers of drugs, and challenges them to remain drug-free. They demonstrate their commitment by being “sworn in” as Drug-Free Marshals, pledging to remain drug free and to encourage their peers to do the same.
This is the fourth year the Foundation participated in these Back to School events.
The events are intended to help get the parents and kids ready for the new school year. The role of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World is to give the kids the tools they need to say no to drugs and have a productive, drug-free school year.
“Youth are starting to experiment with drugs at a younger and younger age. We want to reach them before drugs do,” said Julieta Santagostino the director of the Florida Chapter of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World.
The Foundation for a Drug-Free World is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that empowers youth and adults with factual information about drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free. For more information go to: www.drugfreeworld.org
For a person with a drug problem, there is a real solution to addiction: Narconon. Narconon, a drug rehabilitation program that utilizes the methods of L. Ron Hubbard, has a success rate of more than 75% (see www.narconon.org)

Interesting piece on Scientology activities in Clearwater, FL

Also, check out comments below article on Scientologists in Clearwater:

The downtown is dead, murdered by blank eyed cult members and a hundred cameras. What person would want to take their family on holiday in CW? (besides anonymous, that is) All anyone needs to do is look around downtown CW to see what kind of neighbor and resident Scientology is. Any other town with palm trees and beaches would be booming, while CW is a wasteland of empty vitamin shops and other little Scilon businesses that are never open.

Even back in 2008 and 2009 when we were protesting against Scientology's murder of Lisa McPherson the town was dead, and the only people walking around were Scientology customers and human rights advocates. Since 2009 the situation in Clearwater has gotten far worse despite Anonymous' almost daily protests adding a little life to down town.
