Occupied Palestine: Good News and Bad - by Stephen Lendman

On June 22, the International Middle East Media Center reported that the UN Human Rights Council (that established the Goldstone Commission) approved "forming an international committee to probe the deadly Israeli" Flotilla attack, massacring and injuring dozens of nonviolent activists on board. Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak urged Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to shelve it, saying:

The Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations is a Beirut, Lebanon-based organization engaged in "strategic and futuristic studies on the Arab and Muslim worlds, (emphasizing) the Palestinian issue. In early 2010, it published the second of its series, "Am I Not a Human," a report titled, "The Suffering of the Palestinian Woman under the Israeli Occupation, " discussed below.

More than 100 Philippine-based organizations under the Stop the War Coalition Philippines join the rest of the world in condemning the Israeli military assault on the humanitarian mission, Freedom Flotilla. The Flotilla's six ships were on their way to deliver humanitarian aids—including medicines and school and construction supplies—to the blockaded Palestinians living in destitute conditions on Gaza strip.  The attack which was made on international waters 65 kilometers off the Coast of Gaza and the detention of passengers after the Israeli forces dragged the ships to the port of Ashdod constitute what can be called state-sponsored terrorism that has no place in civilized society.

When Will Israel Be Charged With War Crimes?

Since Israel’s recent attacks on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla thousands of people have taken to the streets demanding a stop to the occupation. Israel’s drastic actions show there is no time to wait—that we must do all we can to stop the horrid killing of innocent civilians.

Israel's Permanent War on Palestine - by Stephen Lendman

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) provides weekly snapshots of Israeli killings, targeted assassinations, arrests, home demolitions, destroyed farmland, assaults on peaceful protesters, community incursions, home invasions, and more besides full-scale attacks at its discretion - a decades-long onslaught against 1.5 million Gazans and over 2.5 million West Bank and East Jerusalem Palestinians.

On May 11, a recent assault occurred in the West Bank's Lubban Al-Sharqiya village when settlers attacked a local mosque, set it ablaze and gutted it. Israeli fire-fighters blamed it on an electrical short-circuit, later investigations showing arson was responsible, what Palestinians knew all along.
