UPDATE: Police Critics' House Seized

by

Homeowners were released from custody at 3am after being held without charges for up to 14 hours. They are being told they will no longer be able to access their property without violating a trespassing law.

June 14th 8:10 AM  Philadelphia. Homeowners were released from custody after being held without charges for up to 14 hours early this morning.  The 4 were taken into custody yesterday after police arrived at their door without a warrant demanding entry to the premises.  Upon being refused entry without the proper paperwork they arrested the homeowners and forced entry to the premises.  After arresting the homeowners the police proceeded to call the Department of Licenses and Inspections which found the property in violation of various codes and permits and ordered the building cleaned and sealed.

Officials claim that the homeowners will no longer be able to access their property without violating a trespassing law.  Police cruisers sat watch in front of the property all night long. Homeowners were released at 3:30 in the morning. Representatives of the homeowners will be present to make a statement while they retrieve some of their possessions.  The police operation was led by 9th district Commanding Officer, Captain Wilson.

Context?

Where's the context? I'm hard-pressed to form an opinion when I don't even know what it means to be a "police critic" or on what grounds the police attempted to enter the house.

refer to the previous post to get a bit of context

They appeared at the door and "demanded" entry. No event, needing "policing", took place, they just wanted in.

This is an act of war

About a month ago, my house in MD just north of DC was stormed by the pigs while I was out(terrorizing my family)

http://dc.indymedia.org/feature/display/131355/index.php,

but it was not stolen outright-just trashed by pigs seeking unpublished audio and video files. What they were after did not exist, much to their disappointment.

Now I hear that the pigs in your town don't settle for raiding and trashing activist home, but instead are seizing them outright! This takes things to yet another level and is nothing less than an act of war. Of course, after what the Philly pigs did to MOVE I don't suppose they consider going to war against homeowners a prohibited act.

We obviously need to come up with defenses against home raids that will make these motherfuckers stop and think long and hard...

"pigs", "motherfuckers", etc.

Not likely to win a lot of the general public over to your cause.

Did it ever occur to you that calling generally hardworking men and women n uniform a bunch of names is not really productive for dealing with a Federal Dept. of Justice noted for abusing an increasingly elastic definition of "domestic terrorism".

All I am saying is at least be strategic in picking your targets.
