PHOTOS: Keystone State Skinheads and other racists at April 19 Mumia Demo in Philly

As detailed in a flyer released before the April 19 Mumia demonstration in Philadelphia, and an article at the anti-racist One People's Project website, there was a counter-protest across the street from the Liberty Bell during the April 19 Mumia demonstration, that was organized by the racist “Keystone State Skinheads” group (KSS) and other fascists.

The KSS are staunch advocates of Mumia's execution. Photos on the KSS website feature KSS member Keith Carney at the Maureen Faulkner book signing last December at Geno’s Steaks, an establishment now famous for their “This is America, Speak English” sign on the front window. Carney was recently released from prison after his conviction for assaulting a black man. He now attempts to present a public image that is less overtly racist by replacing racial slurs with phrases like “welfare mom” and “drug-dealer,” as illustrated by the shirt he is wearing in the photo at Geno’s, which reads “Kill Your Local Drug Dealer.”
Check out the 2002 photos of Jason Tankersly in York PA with the Nazi flags. He is standing next to Keith Carney in the April 19 photo of Carney. Also, Tankersly is featured in this National Geographic special about racist skinheads.
It's tough for these guys to now pretend to not be racists. How are swastikas not racist?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Wed, 04/23/2008 - 1:44pmGee, it's pretty terrible that they are fighting to stop crime and protect our communities. I mean, who doesn't want crack houses on every corner?
Well, maybe they should
Submitted by Anonymous Too (not verified) on Thu, 04/24/2008 - 12:28amWell, maybe they should start with themselves if they want to fight crime. Carney has to go to court on Friday on attempted murder charges. He and three other guys from KSS.
Biased Much?
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Wed, 04/23/2008 - 1:51pmFor being an "independent" media center, you certainly have gone far past an impartial line. This is just as ridiculous as all the other buzz words the media uses to describe people who have ideas they deem politically incorrect.

Panthers not racist
Submitted by Long live the BPP (not verified) on Fri, 04/25/2008 - 10:33pmThe Black Panther Party were never anti-white racists. Certainly the mainstream media presented them as such, but it was completely false. The Panthers had good working relationships with the white left, and many others. To verify this all you have to do would read the classic works like huey and bobby's autobiographies or Foner's classic THE BLACK PANTHERS SPEAK.
Indeed, instead of the slogan "Black Power" the BPP said "All Power to the People". Fred Hampton dubbed the phrase "Rainbow Coalition," because the Panthers believe in all oppressed groups (including gays and women) should unite to abolish the capitalist system and all the horrible things that come along with that.
The BPP were true working class revolutionaries, unlike these bonehead fascists like the KSS. Remember that Fascists and Nazis always had "working class" rhetoric. SO, while fascism was portrayed as working class liberation, it was actually about further enslaving the workers to the ruling class.
Fkd's Finest!!!
Submitted by Keith Carney (not verified) on Thu, 04/24/2008 - 8:00pmIndependent? Ha, hardly. The IMC is really nothing more then a shadow of the mainstream media, echoing societies sacred little PC standards when it comes to discussing/dealing with anyone or thing that challenges their precious dogma. Hence the whole reason why anyone that deviates from their way of thinking is attacked and painted as nothing more then a “fascist” a “racist” a “homophobe” or a “sexist” etc (thought criminal?). All modern day universal terms used to equate people like me and our ideals with the lowest common denominator in the publics mind, ideas that people like you go far out of your way to distort and exaggerate.
Actually “radical leftists” do have quite a bit in common with society and the government when it comes to people like me…..strange. But I’m not so sure I get the whole “fascist attack on the working class” bit. I grew up in Philly, Frankford to be exact, in a low income household. I went to all public schools (Frankford high) and started working as a laborer until I picked up a hammer and became a carpenter after graduation. Aren’t most of you students and suburbanites by the way? That’s not very working class…..
The only people that seem to be working class on your side of things are the members of the non-white communities whose interests you seek to exploit in order to further you own red/anarchist agendas. They’d be far better off pursuing the interests of their own people then following yours. Forced multiculturalism is the real source of racism, that’s what creates unending racial conflict and social inequalities, not “White Supremacy”. No one will ever get a fair chance so long as were all horded into a one size fits all plastic society headed by our Capitalist/Zionist government. Perhaps some of you would benefit greatly by acquainting yourselves with the works of Fard & Elija Muhammad to understand that since you won’t listen to anything that a white person has to say about it.
Anyways, that really is kind of funny that you’re actually making an issue out my hoodie, I guess you should probably notify the Straight Edge clothing company (and the Thought Police while your at it) that makes them and let them know they're not up to date on the latest PC fashion regulations. It’s really not some super secret racist code word; I hate all drug dealers, especially white ones. I despise them more so then anyone else. (*FYI: I don’t blame black people for the drug epidemic, drugs are an issue in every community and white people have had an equal if not larger hand in it)Welfare mom, huh? I used to have to stand in line with my mom down at Bridge & Pratt to get food stamps when I was a kid.....so much for that one.
As for that picture of me with Mark Liberty, so what, who cares? I hate to burst your bubbles but I grew up here and I know a hell of a lot of different people, I’ve got a wide variety of friends despite any differences that we may have on certain things. You really are going to start making an even bigger ass out of yourselves and a whole lot more enemies if your going to start branding people as “White Power” just because they’re friends or associates of mine. But have at it; push even more people into my corner. I’ve been going to punk & hXc shows in this city since I was fourteen so I’m pretty well versed at how your phony guilt by association propaganda works. I spent my most of my time in west philly going to shows at Stalag, the Killtime and the Fake house etc and people like Pat Lenk (Society) and Dan Pambino (Danarchy) were always huge exponents of that kind of crap.
Oh, and just to let all of you know, the people of this city (Blacks & Whites of every class) may not completely agree with me on a few things but they completely despise you and your overgrown adolescent suburban rebellion. The only reason that it's even tolerated in this city is because they don't take any of it serious.

Tankersly is an obvious Nazi
Submitted by Fight White Supremacy (not verified) on Fri, 04/25/2008 - 10:21pmSo, does Jay Tankersly's Maryland Skinhead group also pretend to not be racist? If so, that picture of him with the nazi flags seems rather incriminating. Also the national geographic clip of him is quite scary. For those who haven't seen the whole documentary, there is no doubt that Tankersly's group is racist. This is also true of the KSS and Carney who are featured in the documentary, which does NOT portray them well.
While we're at it.

Not my place to talk about this one so I'll steer clear of explaining how very exaggerated this claim is, but seeing as some big names in the ARA were on trial for assaulting an undercover police officer and smashing up his truck. AND DON'T CRY THAT IT WAS A SET UP! If anything it was an agent provocateur at an event that none of the real "racists" cared to show up to, furthermore no one held a gun to those fat slob's heads or that old loser's head either and said "go attack them" they just did it. It was not a set-up, or a frame job. Those losers were just caught red handed by a plain clothes cop. I don't care if you soak your pillows with tears about it but it is what it is. None of you know what started the fight at the bar or what of it is true. The same can not be said for the ARA criminals.

You're right because only White Separatists are racist, if a separatist is a nonwhite of any kind they are inspirational and strong heads of their racial community. (sarcasm should be noted but sadly that is how most people view it)

You must be either Fat slob #1 Jason Robbins or one of his associates. I never worked on that contract. I worked at CCP, that was the only college contract I worked on.
