Address in behalf of the Greeks

Philly, we going to organize something?
I. The events which, in Greece, since December 6th, accentuated a general subversion of the modern society, hold an evident universal character made tangible by the echo of the international solidarities, and due to the nature of the deployment of the uncontrolled critical forces which constituted them.
II. The spontaneous generalization of the riots in the geographical, social and temporal scale, combined to the massive movement of the occupations of multiple public buildings, were constituted by a part of these critical forces acting in their highest expressions. The immediate propagation of the revolts and the intensity of the confrontations, days and nights perpetuated, created a remarkable climate of permanent unrest that nobody could avoid, involving all the civil society, in a growing variety, having blown up by its movement all the roles of the passivity. These warlike strengths, made possible by the occupations, the source of which they are, and considered as powerful poles of the struggles processes, have to come to the insurrectionary requirement of the territorial question, and its conquest in held and defended zones which feed them and make them effective. Its pursuit and its salvation reside in the constitution of an auto-organized force able to spread its power until paralyzing the fundamental mechanisms which assure the stability and the life of the modern society. This operation requires beforehand the long-lasting consolidation of the conquisted positions. The moment which contains us is the one where they threaten to be lost. It is this moment we have to seize in all its energy.
III. The scale of the uprising, more than a simple protest against the police arbitrary, extends well beyond, and appears more as a radical attack against the arbitrary existence of a civilization, in all its equally harmful aspects. It is the slow assassination of the concretely denied lives that is the real base of these revolts, and their most true center. This phenomenon comes logically to be recognized beyond the limits of its casus belli and the restricted borders which contain it, where the particular is the portrait of the general. The worldwide consciousness of a common and shared misery poses simultaneously the necessity of a worldwide revolt which is beyond a simple reaction of support to the events. It is a question of embodying the events in its centrifugal movement.
IV. These disorders gather in their action a diffuse subversion whom catalyse the particular phenomenons, by giving it substance through the same practice. They sanction the spirit of a time in the intense moment they arise, similar to the forgotten actor's adventure which comes to turn the boards of a monotonous stage upside down. We can find now, in each isolate gesture, as through more consequent disturbances, a challenging of the totality of the civilization and its reasons of living. That's why the system is now forced to defend itself entirely, in an more and more total implication of its strengths, by the rough and ideological assertion of its imaginary excellence, which the reasons for living, as reasons of being, are exactly already ruined. This world without prestige lost trust in its capacities to reign.
V. The repressive episode of the " pogrom of Exarchia ", on January 5th, 2009, shows on the rebound the old world confusion. We are witnessing the forming of the premises of a tension strategy, common to all the fought powers able of leading a similar war. The disproportion of the armed attack in front of the poverty of its results, the quick reaction of the police in the implementation of the aimed district encirclement, the ballistic report immediately supplied, the media profecy to the imminence of such acts; all this is only making unacceptable the official version. Its denial will appear only in the insurrectionary march which will make to weapons a more free and more sincere usage. Its truth has to come at its hour.
Us, came from diverse country to Greece for throwing over there our own action in a common struggle, call up for a wide offensive through what was already made : for the resumption, the preservation and the intensification of the occupations and the fights. We also call up, at the international level, at the seizure of a state of crisis to appear in all our strength. On January 17th, 2009, a day of international actions, we shall have to pursue what everywhere already begins. And the winter will not pass without remembering us.
