Mumia Abu-Jamal, America's foremost political prisoner, is a former Black Panther Party spokesman, MOVE supporter and award-winning journalist. Mumia Abu-Jamal is an innocent man, framed up for the 1981 killing of police officer Daniel Faulkner in Philadelphia and sentenced to death explicitly for his political views. Federal and state courts have refused to consider the sworn confession of Arnold Beverly that he, not Mumia, shot and killed officer Faulkner. With the case now back in the courts, it's more urgent than ever to mobilize the social power of organized labor and its allies now to fight for Mumia's freedom.
